Upgrade 74 Update for the Week of November 30, 2007

With the winter season upon us, construction updates along the I-74 corridor will be sent on an as needed basis. For the week of Dec. 2, 2007, no locations will be under construction as part of the Upgrade 74 project. Any future work is weather permitting.

Originally designed prior to the formation of the interstate highway system, I-74 has and will continue to function for decades as the main highway through Central Illinois. Upgrade 74 is the complete rehabilitation of I-74 from East Peoria through Peoria, which is the largest construction project ever undertaken in downstate Illinois.
