Upgrade 74 Update

Peoria, IL -

The following locations will be under construction as part of Upgrade 74. The work is weather permitting, and updates may be necessary. A work zone speed limit of 45 mph will be in effect during construction.

Peoria:

• Motorists should expect a left lane closure on eastbound I-74 from Nebraska Avenue to University Street from 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, through 5:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, for pavement work.
• As a reminder, motorists should expect temporary lane reductions on east and westbound I-74 from Perry Avenue to Nebraska Avenue from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, and Thursday, Sept. 6, for striping work.
• Crews also will stripe the following entrance and exit ramps throughout this period: Glendale Avenue (westbound entrance ramp), Glen Oak Avenue (eastbound entrance and exit ramps and westbound exit ramp), Knoxville Avenue (east and westbound entrance and exit ramps), University Street (east and westbound entrance and exit ramps).
• Motorists also should expect a left lane closure on westbound I-74 from Nebraska Avenue to Sterling Avenue from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, for joint work.

East Peoria:

• Motorists should expect a right lane closure on both north and southbound Main Street/IL-116 from I-74 to Blackjack Boulevard from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, for landscaping work.
