Upgrade 74 Update

Peoria, IL -

The following locations will be under construction as part of Upgrade 74. The work is weather permitting, and updates may be necessary. A work zone speed limit of 45 mph will be in effect during construction.

Peoria

• Motorists are reminded of a left lane closure on eastbound War Memorial Drive from Sterling Avenue to Meadowbrook Road from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 27, for landscaping.
• Motorist should expect a left lane closure on eastbound I-74 from just west of the Sterling interchange to War Memorial Drive interchange from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 26, for highway lighting work.
• Motorist should expect a left lane closure on eastbound I-74 from War Memorial Drive interchange to the Gale Ave interchange from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, July 27, for highway lighting work.

East Peoria:

• Motorists should expect a left lane reduction on westbound I-74 from Pinecrest Drive to Exit 94 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 26, for lighting work.
• Motorists should expect a lane reduction on both northbound and southbound Main Street/IL-116 from National Street to the I-74 overpass from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 26, and Friday, July 27, for bridge work.
