Child Passenger Safety

Importance of Child Safety: Keeping our kids safe is one of the first things we should think about before we get into our vehicles. Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death and injury for American children. However, when children are properly restrained using child safety seats or safety belts, the chances of them being seriously hurt or killed are significantly reduced. Young children should always ride in age and size appropriate child safety seats. While air bags save more than 1,000 lives per year, they can seriously injure or even kill children. Therefore, children and ESPECIALLY INFANTS should NEVER ride in the front seat.
