Upgrade 74 Update for the Week of September 2, 2007

Peoria, IL -

For the week of Sept. 2, 2007, the following locations will be under construction as part of Upgrade 74. The work is weather permitting, and updates may be necessary. A work zone speed limit of 45 mph will be in effect during construction.

In observance of Labor Day, construction will end at 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31. IDOT wishes motorists safe travels during this holiday weekend.

Peoria:

• Motorists should expect temporary lane reductions on east and westbound I-74 from Perry Avenue to Nebraska Avenue from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, and Wed., Sept. 5, for striping work.
• Crews also will stripe the following entrance and exit ramps throughout this period: Glendale Avenue (westbound entrance ramp), Glen Oak Avenue (eastbound entrance and exit ramps and westbound exit ramp), Knoxville Avenue (east and westbound entrance and exit ramps), University Street (east and westbound entrance and exit ramps)
• Motorists should expect a left lane closure on westbound I-74 from Nebraska Avenue to Sterling Avenue from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, for joint work.

East Peoria:
