Upgrade 74 Update

Peoria, IL -

The following locations will be under construction as part of Upgrade 74. The work is weather permitting, and updates may be necessary. A work zone speed limit of 45 mph will be in effect during construction. Please note that in observance of Independence Day, no construction will take place on Wednesday, July 4.

Peoria

• Motorists should expect a right lane closure on westbound I-74 from Gale Avenue to Sterling Avenue from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, for grading work.
• Motorists should expect a right lane closure on eastbound I-74 from Sterling Avenue to Forrest Hill Avenue from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 5, and Friday, July 6, for bridge work.
• Motorists should expect a right lane closure on westbound War Memorial Drive from Meadowbrook Road to Scenic Drive from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, and Thursday, July 5, for grading work.
• As a reminder, motorists should expect a left lane closure on westbound War Memorial Drive from Meadowbrook Road to Sterling Avenue from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, July 6, for landscaping.

East Peoria

• As a reminder, motorists should expect a lane reduction on westbound I-74 at Pinecrest Drive from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, for guard rail work.
• Motorists should also expect a lane reduction on eastbound I-74 at Pinecrest Drive from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, for guard rail work.
